WEDNESDAY MORNING WOMEN’S GROUPS – IN-PERSON

A Closer Look at Jesus through Spiritual Rhythms:  Answering God’s Invitation to Sacred Disciplines

Wednesday 9:15 to 11:15 am, January 17 – May 8

The spiritual rhythms of sabbath, giving, fellowship, prayer, confession, Bible study, silence/solitude, worship, service and fasting – recenter our hearts and lead us into deeper relationship with God. We experience transformation and changed lives when our focus and attention are rooted in God, rather than the world around us. Scripture tells us that regular practice of these sacred disciplines is essential to living as God designed. And while this may seem daunting, “training for godliness promises benefits in this life and the life to come” (1 Timothy 4:8). Join us on a 12-week journey as we follow the example Jesus modeled throughout His ministry. We will learn the importance of each of these spiritual rhythms and practical ways to begin incorporating them into our lives today.

Note for our morning groups:  Service is built into our time in our groups, as a natural outpouring of our relationship with Christ.  We request that each of our women serve one morning this semester in our children’s program, modeling Jesus’ love for our little ones.

The Story of God:  An Epic Journey Through Scripture by Eric Geiger

The Story of God study explores the overarching narrative of the Bible, leading us as we discover that the story of Jesus is present on every page. Together we will learn how we can live as part of that story. This study seeks to remove the intimidation factor of reading the Bible and replace it with an understanding of day-to-day life as followers of Jesus. Homework is four days of 10-15 minutes per day. We’d love you to join us as we dive into this study together!

Note for our morning groups:  Service is built into our time in our groups, as a natural outpouring of our relationship with Christ.  We request that each of our women serve one morning this semester in our children’s program, modeling Jesus’ love for our little ones.

THURSDAY NIGHT WOMEN’S GROUPS – IN-PERSON

Without Wavering: Resilient Faith Built on the Promises of God by Alexandra Hoover

Thursday 6:30 – 8:30 pm., January 11 – March 28

Enduring. Resilient. Courageous. These are qualities we want to describe our faith in God. But do they? The truth is, faith is hard, especially when trials, setbacks, and failures seem to define us. In this 7-session Bible study, Alexandra Hoover offers encouraging words of hope and examples of unwavering faith from the Bible.

Drawing inspiration from the examples of faith in Hebrews 11, the early church, and more, you’ll see that life’s challenges don’t have to define you. Through hope in Christ, you can become the woman who weathers the storms of life with renewed strength and confidence in who God is and who He says you are.

How the study works: You will receive your study guide at our first session. Lessons take 25 minutes each weekday or about 2 hours to complete each week. There will be an opportunity to participate in a service project and a social event.

THURSDAY NIGHT WOMEN’S GROUPS – ONLINE

Esther: The Hidden Hand of God by Lydia Brownback

Thursday 7:00 – 8:30 pm, January 11 – March 28 , Online

The book of Esther reads much like a fairy tale: a young Jewish queen, her wise older cousin, an evil royal servant, and a self-centered king. But Esther is no fairy tale. From the beginning of the book to the end, God is the main character of the story.

This 10-session study will dig deeper into the book of Esther and learn how God is faithful to keep his promises and deliver his people. This story ultimately points to the gospel, revealing the need for a better deliverer, a better king, and a better kingdom than any found in this world.

How this study works: We will connect on Zoom each Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Lessons will take around 1 ½ – 2 hours of preparation each week. There will be an opportunity to meet in person for fellowship and to participate in a service project. Please order your book in advance of our first session on Christianbook or Amazon. In addition to the book, there is an option on Amazon to purchase the Audible version.
