Care Ministries

CARE FUND Ministry

The Care Fund Ministry aims to provide short term financial relief to help with people’s basic needs. Church members, regular attendees, or those that have a personal connection to a church member or regular attendee may complete the application for assistance. This team assesses needs and provides short-term relief for those in financial crisis as well as offering support for counseling needs.

Counseling

There are seasons in life when we seek experts to help us process our brokenness and struggles. Our pastoral staff have established relationships with specific organizations and individuals that we recommend for counseling.

Care fund

Provides short-term relief for those in financial crisis. The Care Fund Ministry aims to meet peoples’ basic needs. Typically, these needs fall under primary shelter, utilities, and groceries/household expenses.

Prayer Ministry

As a church, not only are we serving one another in tangible ways, but we are praying for one another daily. Our Prayer Team offers one-time or continual prayer for members of our church and community. Please share your prayer requests. If you would like someone to contact you about your prayer needs, please be sure to let us know.

Meals

Our Meal Team assists members of our church family who could benefit from a home-delivered meal for various reasons such as a significant medical issue within the family, a personal crisis or loss, or welcoming a child into the home. If you or someone you know is in need of any of the care support described above, please let us know how we can serve and care for you.

Widow & Widower Care

Our ministry team provides support and encouragement for widows & widowers of all ages in our church family to address practical support needs and one-on-one advocacy. If you or someone you know is in need of any of the care support described above, please let us know how we can serve and care for you.

Home Care

The Home Care and Maintenance team is a hands-on ministry that focuses on routine home maintenance work such as lawn and garden care, carpentry, minor plumbing, electrical work, car maintenance, and other related tasks. Requests for this support can be made by anyone in the church for themselves or others connected to the church who are struggling and in need of help. If you or someone you know is in need of any of the care support described above, please let us know how we can serve and care for you.

New Child

This ministry team, along with other volunteers, provides tangible support to families who are welcoming a new child, whether through adoption, foster care, or a new infant, into their home. This can be requested by anyone with a personal connection to Willowdale Chapel as a loving way to show support. If you or someone you know is in need of any of the care support described above, please let us know how we can serve and care for you.

Financial Education

Our Financial Education Ministry provides opportunities to individuals or families to help them better understand budgeting and the decisions required to live within their financial constraints. They focus on setting priorities and creating a pathway towards financial freedom and good stewardship. If you or someone you know is in need of any of the care support described above, please let us know how we can serve and care for you.

Rescue Academy

Have you ever wondered how to best help hurting people?  Have you been afraid of saying the wrong thing when trying to help others? You are not alone. Rescue Academy is a program that teaches you how to come alongside hurting people. It instructs you in what to say and what NOT to say, how to help others, while not burning yourself out.

DEACON CARE TEAMS

Our Deacons are our first responders for our Care Ministries and are always looking for individuals from our church with a heart to serve.  If you’d like to learn more about our care teams, complete our Deacon Care Volunteer Interest Form.

Foster & Adoption CARE

This ministry exists to provide support and encouragement to families involved in foster, kinship, or adoptive care. Willowdale partners with HopeTown to support parents as they become foster and/or adoptive families.
