Welcome to Celebrate Recovery! The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God's healing power in our lives through a Christ-centered 12-step program based on eight principles of the Beatitudes of the Bible. We open the door to healing by sharing our experiences, our strengths and hope and becoming willing to accept God's grace in solving our lives' problems. Grace moves us from performing and pretending to an abundant life of forgiveness and healing. It frees us to serve and live the lives to which God called us. By applying these tools to our lives, we begin to grow spiritually. We begin to replace our addictive, compulsive, or dysfunctional behaviors with the freedom of peace, serenity, and joy... true gifts from God.
We meet in our old Chapel every Monday evening beginning around 6:45 pm. Willowdale Chapel offers Celebrate Recovery in five different groups: one Newcomer's Group, two Substance Abuse groups (one for men and one for women), and two Life Issues groups (again, one for men and one for women). Though our group leaders are not licensed counselors, they are all concerned and caring people who have gone through a similar hurt or habit and who, by the grace of God, are able to share and relate their recovery experience, strength and hope with others. They have prepared a Christ-centered safe environment in which a small group can also share their experiences and hopes with others who are going through the same recovery process.
