At fusion, we're learning that following Jesus involves four things...
...we SEEK after the God who sought and still seeks after us even when we run away.
When we seek God, we do so knowing that He first sought after us. We read His Word in private and group settings. We reach out to Him and seek to feel His presence in prayer. We sing until our throats are hoarse in unabashed worship of our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer.
...we SHARE life together because of the God who shares community with us in many different ways.
When we share, we open up our life to God who desires to be with us. We also open up our lives to others. We eat meals, we pray for each other, and we walk together. When we share, we know that we are never alone.
...we SERVE others in light of the life that Jesus lived - that of a servant.
When we serve, it is because we have been filled so full by God's Spirit. We know that we have been blessed to be a blessing, that we are the chosen jars through which God's kingdom will be poured out. When we serve, we understand that not only is the world and others around us being changed, but we are being transformed by serving.
...we REST, we rest and reflect - we take time to look back on the journey so far so that we may better walk the journey ahead.
We can rest in so many different ways. For some it may mean taking a sabbath, a time that is set apart where we say our work is good. Sometimes resting means taking a moment to exhale, to look around and see where we have been and where we might be headed. By resting, we are showing faith that God is at work even when we are not.
